The musical talents of David Baumgarten bridged the
"generation gap" at a recent National School Assembly. He
dedicated his program to the principles, ideals ami
perseverence of a Great People. It was designed to bring to the
young people the awareness of the great traditions they are
inheriting and the opportunities they face.

LETTERMAN'S CLUB
If everyone remembers the
Medford basketball game, you
will recall an added attraction.
Not only was there spirit for a
change, but the Letter man's
Club started a group of boys
clapping wood blocks together.
Inspired by the club's efforts,
other boys joined the group and
they screamed "little ditties" of
ropes and trees to players, fans,
and referees, in particular.
The Letter men also painted
the AHS spirit can, used at
games.
FTA
The Future Teachers of
America had their first meeting
recently. As yet, a president has
not been elected.
Members of the SOC club
invited students to attend and
participate in their meetings.
Plans were made for speakers
and panels.
FNA
Also trying to work with SOC
students is the Future Nurses of
America Club. They are planning
a trip to Portland. They ordered
candy to sell and are continuing
work as volunteer help at Mt.
View Nursing Home and
Ashland's Community hospital.
