Till TOW First Vice-President ... STEVE IIAGERT: "Concerned with SSS system." Steve Hagert, this year's second vice-president, is one of two candidates competing for the office of first vice-president In addition to the work required of his student body office, Steve has also participated in many other school functions. He is a reporter on the Rogue News staff. He was selected to be admit ted to Quill and Scroll last winter. I'm not concerned with any certain platform except with the present SSS system. I haven't a solution to solve or change the system, but I think any changes should be-made by a com mittee or the student council so as to get ideas from as many people as possible. The only thing that I can do is assure you that I will fuliill my duty as first vice-president. I will repre sent and be proud to say I'm from Ashland Senior High School wherever I will go. JACK DAVIS: "Uphold great traditions." After being active in student government throughout his sophomore and junior years, Jack Davis is seeking the office of first vice-president. My platform does not contain many promises because they are hard to keep. I will simply promise to do the best that I can in upholding the great traditions of Ashland High School. This is my promise to the student body and, if elected, I will keep my promise and help lead Ashland High. I would be proud and honored to accept the responsibility for the next school year. This is my platform and promise of becoming the first vice-president of Ashland High School and I would like nothing better than to prove it to the voters. During the past two years, Jack has held several offices of student leadership. Last year he served as president of the sopho more class. Currently Jack is a member of the debate team. Secretary .. Nonda Ainsworth, candidate for secretary, discussed her mo tivations and qualifications in running for office. I feel that I am qualified to hold this office because I am a member of the Future Busi ness Leaders of America and I have maintained a 3.2 to 3.4 grade average this year. I have always had the de sire to hold an office because when holding an office one can do more for his school. To me, holding this oce would be fulfilling my duty to what I feel is the best of my ability. In addition to her activities in school, Nonda is interested in skiing and outdoor sports. NONDA AINSWORTH: "Fulfilling duty." , 1 PEGGY TILFORD: "Want the Job." Peggy Tilford has taken part in student body affairs this year through membership in the National Honor Society as well as through her office of student body treasurer.
