About 150 students attended the

in true Dogpatch style. Boxes,
benches, and barrels lined the
floor. A pig sty occupied one
corner, and Marrying Sam was
kept busy in another.
Clyde Nelson and Chris Ho

Student Council
To Sponsor Ball
Come one, come all to the
annual Cupids Ball! This year
the ball, sponsored by the Stu
dent Council, will offer a new
attraction. Instead of the usual
Queen of Hearts and her four
princesses, the King of Hearts and
his five jacks will reign over
the ball.
About two weeks before the
ball takes place, February 21,
Cloma Zupan, president of the
Pep Club, will call a special
meeting to nominate two candi
dates from each class for the
King of Hearts and his five
jacks. The Girls' League will then
vote on them and the boy re
ceiving the most votes will be
crowned King of Hearts on the
night of the ball. The other five
candidates will become jackss.
The evening will call for semi
formal dress without flowers.

Glenn Smith, senior: "It wasn't
good as the juniors was last
year. They didn't have hardly any
af the decorations we had."
Kay Newton, senior: "I person
ally had a real good time but I
'.bought this year's Sadie Haw
kins was not really as original as
the ones in past years. It did not
seem to be one which took as
much work as the others did."
Sandy Tison, sophomore: "It
was a real neat dane, one of the
best we've had all year. Lots of
the right kind of fun, but the rat
ing (SSS) was kind of low."
