Student Reviews Senior
Class Play Performance
(Editor's Note The following
review covers only the after
noon performance. According
to those who saw the evening
performance, the shortcomings
criticized in the review were
corrected in the evening per
formance.) This year's senior class play
was a drama, which was a
rather welcome change from the
usual comedy presentation. Terry
Skibby and Don Scripter did a
fine job on the sets and on the
sound set up. Mrs. Lucy Susee
commented that this year's play
cast was perhaps the best she
has ever directed.
For the benefit of those who
didn't see the play I'll try my

SPANISH CLUB
Officers of the new Spanish Club
are Barbara Jones, president;
Margie Rucker, vice-president;
and Maria Drew, secretary-treasurer.
The proposed constitution
has been discussed and the Consti
tution Committee was chosen. It
consists of Diane Benson, Maria
Drew, Barbara Jones, and Margie
Rucker. Anyone interested in
joining this new Spanish organ
ization should contact Mrs. Lois
Wright or Barbara Jones.
best to recreate part of it It
seems that the defendent Marine
Lowe took a gun and shot hus
band very dead. Superior Court
number 14 of the state of Illinois
is trying her for this crime. In
the end all comes out well and
Maxine is even reunited with her
long lost daughter.
Kathy Hernlein, Chris Hoberg,
Don Greene, and John Reid all
did well in their espective parts.
In my estimation Chris and Kathy
gave the most believeable and the
most realistic performances of the
afternoon.
Other players in starring roles
were Jan Susee as the count
judge; too bad this part wasn't
written as comedy, because that
seemed to be the way it was
played. The part of the assistant
attorney, played by Trudee Lewis,
appeared difficult for her. Mickey
Mouse could have mustered about
the same amount of feeling and
excitement as did Charles Moore.
Patti Dysert as ever-suffering
Maxine Lowe suffered through
out the entire play. Maria Crone
did an adequate job as the
southern waitress, although she
would have given a more effective
performance if her voice could
have been pitched about five
octaves lower.
I am sure most of you enjoyed
this play. I wish more school
dramas could be produced in the
gym.
DRAMA CLUB
"Three Against Death", a play
taken from Chaucer's Canterbury
Tales, will be performed by the
Drama Club for the student body
and the P.T.A. early in December.
The play concerns three rogues I
who sent out looking for Death I
and how they found it.
The cast of the play is as fol-
lows: Troc - Riley Sauers; Loup -
Terry Baraclough; Zigzag - Jon
Roberson; Blanche - 11a Knee
bone; and Spothercary - Cathy
Christy.
