What! Glory Seekers!
Why is it that more girls turn out for pepsters
than for the United Nations contest? Why do more
boys go out for sports while only about 12 are on the
newspaper?
It is because the students feel that they will be
more popular if they devote their time tq sports. This
does not imply that sports or the pepsters are un
important. However, while they do have a high place
in school, the "intellectual" activities should not be
passed up.
The so called "squares" can look back at high
school activities and be thankful for the valuable
experience gained in their field of endeavor; they
can get the satisfaction that they have done some
thing worth while to them. They can see how they
have learned to organize their thoughts for writing
or speaking from speech or journalism; they can
see what they have learned from their projects they
