Spirit is a mental state, all in your head as the saying goes. It is an emotional reaction to a certain situation. You feel happy or -sad, high spirits or low spirits. Your, feelings or emotions may cause you to be unable to do the things which in your judgment are the right things. This is very true among young people. Many do not have the will and determination to do what they themselves know is the correct thing because their spirit or emotions concerning the situation is low.
