Eddie Motter performed be
fore the Ashland High student
body on March 29. Eddie was
blinded in his early childhood
by two separate accidents. Al
though he was blind, he assur
red the students he was not
unhappy and that being blind
wasn't the worst thing in the
world.
He and his brother worked
together in show business for
several years. Then he went to
U.C.L.A. for 4 years and stud
ied psychology. He said, "Sev
eral years ago I quit show bus
iness because I became a Chris
tian." He said he was doing it
just for the money. Eddie ex
plained that now he knows
money isn't the most important
thing in the world.
Eddie did unbelievable
hand balancing stunts and
amazing feats on the parallel
bars. He did a glid kip to a
hand stand and foreward roles
on the bars. Others were the
over bar kip to a hand stand
and backward rolls. An over
bar to a hand stand then to a
i strattle cut-off amazed the stu
, dents.
On the table he did the
i hand stand and variations.
