NUMBER 7
JACK TOBIASSON
Grinning and leaning one
arm against the lockers. Jack
Tobiasson or "Toby," gave his
opinion of sports and his new
job of student body president.
When asked how he felt par
ticipation in athletics develop
ed a person's personality and
prepared him for his future
life. Jack answered, "I think
they are a large part of a per
son's character. If he is going
to be a good sportsman, he has
to be co-operative with his
team mates and his coach and
put plays into action with the
calmness you need to think
straight." Toby also stated that
you learn that a good sports
man does not show off but puts
the team first."
Questioned on his opinion
of how sports could prepare
him lor carrying his presi
dent's duties, Jack replied
"that there is always a conflict
between the two, especially if
one allows sports to come
first. Jack, however, plans to
make a balance between the
two. "If I find sports are tak
ing too much time from the
time I should spend on my du
ties as president," Jack stated,
"I would give up sports rather
than give up being president."
Learning to speak in front
; of people, to balance tjse bud-
