Pat's Comments
We're on our way in basket
ball with 3 wins and no losses
so far. The coach says he
wouldn't be worried about the
rest oi the games, if we only
had more reserve strength, and
that we lack the heighth the
other schools have.
Coach Iba has been using
man to man defense inter
changing with rone defense.
On offense he depends upon
ball control and their basic pat
terns. J. V.'s
The J. V.'s have won one
came 60 far. Playing with
sophomores only for the first
time in the history of the
school the team Is off to a fair
start. The two losses to For
tuna and Eureka are not as
black as they may seem
view of the fact that their J.V
teams are composed of mostly
seniors. The J.V.'s have a team
of fast moving players who,
as soon as their shots are zero
ed in, will give anyone a good
battle.

JV't Lose Game
To Fortuna Squad
The Fortuna B squad edged
the Ashland Jayvecs, 48 to 40
in the preliminary game with
Fortuna.
The game was fast and furi
ous R. Mickel fouled out
early in the 3rd quarter and
since the J. V.'s had only five
players present it was neces
sary to use Scott Peterson. The
boys were unable to hit their
long shots and had to work
hard for what they got.
