AHS Frosh Team
Pat's Comments
My apologies to the Frosh
football team for not getting
the Medford game on Oct. 12
in the last paper. It was a
great game, with our Frosh !n
the lead 21 to 20.
Our Varsity didn't do too
good this season with one win
and eight losses, but just the
same they deserve a lot of
credit. It takes a lot more in
testinal fortitude to be on a
team that get bad breaks than
to be on a team that wins all
the time.
The linemen usually doesn't
get as much glory as the back
field. But if it wasn't for the
line there would be no team
Linemen who deserve a lot of
credit are Larry Hamilton
Dick Rensfield, Dick Woolman.
Roy Gray, Jack Eberhart, Dale
Olson, Tom Delsman, Jim
Witt, Harvey Sorenson and
Larry Sweem who are all seni
ors and saw their last game
in A. H. S., Nov. 2.
Other kids who don't get as
much credit as they deserve
are the guys who play on de
fense.
Our J.V.'s are really going
to town this season with 5
wins and only two losses.
With scores like Ashland 52
Yrcka 0; Ashland 25, K. F. 0
Ashland 26, Grants Pass 13;
just think what we'll have
next year for Varsity! Person
ally I have the utmost faith in
our J.V.'s, so let's see what
happens in basketball.
Our Frosh team hasn't done
too bad this season with two
wins and four losses. Especi
ally the game with Crater
where we won 20-0.
The band and flag girls
should receive more credit for
entertainment during the
games. And being a member
of the band, personally, I
know what they all go through.
I think I'll just give you a
little idea what they go
through. (Don't take me wrong
though, almost every kid is
willing to do this for their
school.) First of all the band
wears those uniforms with
light duck trousers that
couldn't keep you warm if
they had to; the flag girls
wear those short skirts and
believe me they're sure not
warm. On top of all that they
have those cold instruments to
hold all the lime.

GRIZZLIES LOSE BATTLE
TO KLAMATH PELICANS
In the best performance of
the season, the Ashland Griz

mud scuffle Nov. 2, to the
Klamath Pelicans, 19 to 6,
bringing down the curtain on
prep football as far as the
Grizzlies are concerned.

three periods, while the Ash
landers hit pay dirt on the
