Changes have been made in
the way concessions are to be
run at AHS games. Under the
new system the same people
will work in the concessions
each time, thus eliminating
amatucr selling. Workers will
receive $2 as their wages for
each game. Profits will be split
with a percentage going to the
club or class sponsoring the
concession and the rest going
to the Student Body.

The grill bar is frenched into
the front fenders; the hood and
deck are shaved and all body
seams are filled. It has cut
down '51 Mercury skirts to
match the chrome strips and
twin pipes and spotlights. As
soon as Keith can find the type
he wants, it will have a grill.
As of now, the engine is
stock.
Keith has done all of the
work himself. Most of it was
done at school last year, but
he finished it up and had it
painted its present lavender
and white this summer.

Fashion Tips
For The Men
The fad raging through the
U. S. is the Elvis (ugh) Preley
haircut. He can sing agreed
but the Elvis look on our
Ashland guys is as bad as
mustaches. Bet a self-respecting
St. Bernard wouldn't wear
an Elvis haircut or a mustache!
On the fashion side, narrow
suede belts are still the most
popular belts among the guys.
To go with them, there are
black or blue (though not so
highly publicized now) suede
shoes. Plain black leather and
English brogues are he main
foot notes this year.
Suntans and cords are still
(with the exception of blue
jeans!) top contenders in male
trouser stvles. Newcomers
this year are Ivy League
trousers. So far there aren't
many of those seen in AHS
halls.
Student Travels
To New York
Jean Fitch of 401 Terrace
Street left Nov. 8 for New
York. She was going by train
and was planning to fly back.
When asked why she was
going, her reply was, ' What
do you mean, why?" Some of
the many things that she want
ed to see were the Empire
State Building, 5th Avenue,
and Broadway. On her two
week pleasure trip she might
take a quick hop down to
Florida.

Dogpatch Theme
Used for Sadie -
Haw kin's Dance
The annual Sadie Hawkins
dance was held, Nov. 10 at 8:00
p.m. in the cafeteria.
Everyone was in old jeans
and skirts with patches, and
different kinds of costumes.
There were lots of Wolf Gals.
Abe's, Daisy Mae's, and Sadie
Hawkins. Prizes of money
were given to the best dressed
for the accasion. First place
for the couples was Jack Eber
hart and Kathy Ingle and sec
ond place was Susan Weller
and Jim Busch. Individuals
were Gerald Troxel and Vivi
an Stevenson.
The decorations resembled
the country of Dogpatch with
a cage of chickens to make it
look even more realistic.
There was a Marrying Sam
where all of the girls took
their' boys after finally catch
ing them. They were given
wedding certificates and rings
after the ceremony was per
formed. Time wounds all heels.

wasn't it, Jeanne?
Now hear this! Girls, there
is one guy in AHS that runs
out of gas legitimately. No
kiddin', he really does. Right
between safety islands, too.
Look for a couple of purple
ears around the hall!
Something new has been ad
ded. Now we have peace trea
ties between teachers and stu
dents written ones at that.
Real legal-like, too.
Frosh, haven't you learned
yet that you don't run in halls?
Being kept back from lunch
for five minutes is pretty good
persuasion, isn't it?
If nothing else is acomplish

a good set of biceps when you
get out. After lugging those
typewriters back and forth
day after day you begin to
feel like a female Atlas!
