Pat's Comments
Well, it finally happened! A
girl sports editor. So lets see
what happens.
About Basketball:
Coach Silver says, "Return
ing to Mcdford will be most of
last years Conference Cham
pion Team; they were also sec
ond in the State Tournament.
"Klamath Falls will be big,
fast and experienced.
"Grants Pass will be experi
enced and have probably the
tallest players in the confer
ence in their center."
"Besides lettermen D Fitch,
M. Fitch, J. Eberhart, and J
Tobiasson, there will be the
following players from
strong last years Ashland High
J.V. team: Mel Dailey, Jim
Busch, Kip Lombard, Scott
Peterson, Dale Olson, Al Hart
well, Roy Gray and Bob Mur
ray."
According to the coach we'll
have a big J.V. turnout.
Football:
What do you guys think of
our J.V. and frosh football
teams?
If you ask me, you don't
think very much of them from
the looks of the attendance at
the games! I think if ypu'll
come out and support them,
you'll see your future Confer
ence Champions at work. No
kidding they're really GREAT!
What do you say?
Coach Simpson predicts a
green varsity basketball team
this year with only four letter
men Doug Fitch, Mark Fitch,
Jack Eberhart, and Jack To
biasson. As pointed out by the coach,
all of last year's first string
have graduated.
