FRI.. APRIL 29. 1955 ROGUE NEWS PAGE THREE Sander's Slander by Sandy Sander Spring being here our school is bubbling with all sorts of ac tivity. Students and teachers alike have been disappearing from classes. (Some authorized, some unauthorized.) Two weeks aen thf administration had a desperate time finding enough substitutes to fill the vacancies of absent teachers. girl's league room would b confronted with a Strang smell and the sight of two weary bodies bending over bed with one inch paint brushes. The weary bodies belonged to Donna Dunkeson and Gennell Williams. They hara made the enameling (yellow) of the beds in the nuries room their project. It was a very nice gesture to brighten the room up of course no on could lie down during lh procedure but it was a yery nice gesture. Our own Rogue News editor gets in a goodie now and then like the night she drove her brother's car and forgot to straighten the wheel after mak ing a turn. Result: One fence post and part of a fence was knocked down and she ended up sitting in the middle of a field. Addition: She also tore one fender half way off. The junior class sock hops were lots of fun but a lilil dangerous. I guess it was an accident when Karleen Car lisle spent part of one song on her . Well she wasn't on her feet. Who knows, maybe it was part of the dance. Sometimes in this rock and roll ag I don't blame Henry for not danc ing. The bench in the southeast end of the hall has been the station for several junior boys from which they would give tneir wolr wnisties and com ments to the girls passing by. But one noon hour the boys got a big surprise when they found the junior girls on the bench whistling and sighing. Bob Wright paraded by (red faced) and now he knows what it's like. The girl's fun was soon ended however as the rebel lious boys began to tip the ben ches over. Although Cathy doesn't pos- sess a private airplane or a gei ger counter, she still seems to enjoy life. Riding around is Cathy's fav orite occupation, but she also likes to swim and sew. Cathy has been a yell leader during her junor and senior years at Ashland High School. When be ing interviewed, she remark ed," In school I have had more fun leading yells than any oth er thing." After graduation Cathy plans to go to Santa Monica, Cali fornia, where she'll lounge around this summer. Cathy may become a beauty operator or a dental hygienist. In either case, she'll make ar rangements for frequent 'coke' breaks as her favorite food(?) is coke. Miss Clark was born in Si oux City, Iowa, on May 14, 1937. She is five feet three in ches tall, has brown eyes and at the time she was being inter- i viewed her hair was light brown. While many are clamoring to register for a trip to the moon Cathy would be perfectly con sent to just see the reflection of the moon on the ocean. "Boom, Boom Bomerang" is first on Cathy's list of song hits. She enjoys hearing the song sters, Eddie Fisher and Jane Powell. One of her most embarrass ing moments was the time when she made dates with two fellas for the very same eve ning. She had decided to go out with the one who arrived first. What fate! Both arrived at the same time. Support the advertisers. WRAY REFRIGERATION See Wray for R.C.A. and Sylvania T.V. Sets On the Plaza HALL STUDIO Knox Building 37 E.
