could get in the building.
The girls played the piano,
the juke box, ate doughnuts,
and tried to keep the chapa

getting a few hours sleep.
Miss George's cocker spaniel.

JERRY WARD
in me spouigm wis monin i
is o toot, A men Jeremiah ward,
better known to most as just
"Jerry." Jerry was born in
Taft, California, May 8, 1935.
He went to school in Bakers
field, California, until the
seventh grade. Then moving to
Ashland, he has continued his
schooling here.
Working on cars is Jerry's
hobby, and he spends most of
his spare time working on
them. Asked what his likes and
dislikes were, he stated that he
liked "girls" and dislikes
school. His favorite food is
hamburgers, his favorite song
is "Oh Happy Day," and he said
his favorite class was Mr.
Lewis's.
Jerry's pet expression is, "I
like it." His most embarrass
ing moments are when he has
to get up in front of class to
say something.
Asked what his favorite
pastime was, the answer was,
ha, ha!
Jerry belongs to the Sports
man's Club here in school and
enjoys it very much.
As he does not plan to go on
to college, Jerry is going to get
a job somewhere and work.

"Sold," replied the driver.

BARBARA VAN VLEET
This cute, friendly," senior,
was born in Fresno, California
on August 30, 1935, but has
lived in Ashland since she was
five years old.
Barbara's favorite song is
"Why Don't You Believe Me"
while ice cream tops her list of
ioods. Her favorite period dur
ing the school day is steno
class.
People who say Van Fleet
instead of Van Vleet and teach
ers who load on homework are
her pet peeves, but Barbara
has a special liking for blue
Plymouths!
Many clubs claim her inter
est; she belongs to Quill and
Scroll, Coed Hi-Y and Tri Hi-Y.
She will become Queen of Jobs
Daughters in June.
Barbara's ideal man must
"have two legs, two arms, two
eyes and not more than three
heads." Do you know anyone
fitting that description?
Her most embarrassing mo
ment happened once when she
was in California. When going
to comb her hair, she accident
ally went into the wrong room!
You can always recognize
Barbara by her friendly smile
and her favorite 'remark,
"Have you heard . . ."

SID KNOX
Seventeen years ago on No
vember 11, 1935, an important
event took place in Mr. and
Mrs. G. W. Knox's lives. A oon
was born to them, whom they
named Sidney George Knox,
known to the kid3 as "Sid."
Born in Grants Pass, Oregon,
Sid then moved to Ashland and
has gone to school here all his
school days.
Sid stands 6 feet tall now: so
he has grown a bit since his
baby days at Grants Pass. Sid's
first love is radios, but he
dearly loves to tinker with
"hot" cars and motorcycles.
His pet expression is "play it
cool." He isn't particular about
his "ideal;" so he must not be
vi.-ry fussy. He likes friend
liness in girls and dislikes
"cops who stop you for some
thin gs."
As far as music, Sid likes
"Blues" and "Oakie Music." He
belongs to the Grizzly Knights
here in school.
After graduation, Sid plans
to either get a job or join the
Navy.
Compliment someone on
something sometime soon.
