girls going around gathering
up attendance slips, you know
that this is just one of the
many duties of an office girl.
Answering the phone, typing,
marking absentees, running
the duplicator or the stencil
are a few jobs these girls do.
But all the girls enjoy it. It
is a lot of fun, and Mrs. Eileen
Wright, Mr. Parks' secretary. Is
a lot of fun to work with.
The first period office girl
is Pat Austin; second period,
Dolores Miller; third period,
Barbara Van Vleet and Shir
lene Folks, alternating; fourth
period, Sara Jamison; fifth pe
riod, Pat Nicholson and Carol
Fowler, alternating; and sixth
period is Sue Thorpe.
It is a previlege for these
girls to work in the office,
and the girls are getting in an
opportunity to see what it is
like to work in an office.
No school credit or grade is
awarded for the work; there
fore these students donate their
time to helping in the office
even though they might have
other tasks which would de
serve priority.

How would you like to write
a lettet to someone who is in
the service?
If you write a letter of such
a nature, you will not only
give the serviceman a morale
lifter but you will learn some
thing about him and his expe
riences. A letter from you on
Christmas will make him know
you appreciate the sacrifice he
is making and are interested in
his welfare and in peace.
Roland Parks stated that he
can supply you with names of
servicemen.

(During the last part of her sec

Dodie's pet peeve is Richie
