Hark! la that another popular
song ? There are so many of them
now that I know I can't keep
them straight. Well, let's see.
Ha! there is Malrzy Coats.
Mairzy doats and Dozie doats
And little lambsy divey.
A kiddely divey, too.
Wouldn't you?
Cowzy doats and Dozie doats
And little lambsy divey.
Little lambsy dotes, too,
Hut foodie doo for you.
That is all that I can remember
of that (luckily). What else do
I know? then they ask about
you But that is all that I know
of that. Well, here is another set
of words:
Little did I know when I met you.
I would learn to worship you so.
Thought I'd kiss and then forget
you.
Little did I know.
Little did I dream your caresses
Meant more than a passing hello,
Gosh! There's a lot of songs I
current right now. Little did I
know what I was getting into
when I started this. One, two,
three this is too much! I'll stop
before I am too weak.
Faulty Camera Delays
Rogue Annual Progress
Due to the improper adjust
ment of Mr. Koehler'a camera,
the annual pictures have to be
retaken. Though some of them
are now ready, there are still
quite a few that must be finished
in the near future.
Approximately 240 student an
nuals have beeu sold, and about
40 requests from servicemen or
their families for the publication
nave been received. There Is still
time to fill out the coupon for
some serviceman to get a free
yearbook.
Though the delay is serious, it
is the hope of the staff that the
annual will be out at the appoint
ed time.
Did you ever stop to think how
important speech is in your life?
There is not a thing that you do
that your talk does not effect.
Even if you are off by yourself,
you think the same way that you
speak. But when you associate
with others, their opinion of you
and your value Is influenced by
your speech. Do you Just talk on
and not give your own speech any
thought? Or do you sometimes
notice your occasional bad gram
mar and poor pronunciation? Or
do you actively try to improve
your speech? The Ashland schools
were fortunate In having, even
though he only stayed a day. Dr.
Lasers, from the State System of
Education. While several students
signed up to take speech cor
rection, only five got to see him
before he left. Dr. Lasers asked
Mr. Norby to buy a set of speech
correction books, which will be
along soon. Besides those who
have assignments in the books,
anyone who would like to improve
his speech can do so by follow
ing the direction.

Talent Show Provides
Top Entertainment
Songs, dancing, group nunioeis
and "Emerico" were the features
that went to make up one of the
best assemblies AHS has had this
eyar. Including, of course, those
delightful, laughable five minutes
in which station KORN (Round
Parks, announcer) rendered solos
that were truly masterpieces.
Because no amateur show coull
possibly be complete without a
master of ceremonies, Keith Bus
sey very ably and entertainingly
introduced the contestants.
As a special feature, Emerick
Jones "Emerico" gave forth
with some of these "now you see
it and now you don't" tricks, so
ending the hour of entertainment.
Prizes were awarded to the win
ning contestants who were chosen
by the amount of applause each
received.
The "Hill Nellies" with their
mountain music seemed to cap
ture the hill-billy instincts of the
student body, thus winning first
prize. Dolores Erwin, a second
Dinah Shore, took second place
with her vocal solos whila Winnie
Roberson with his "50 hot licks"
on the trumpet took third.
