A high light of the early season was the use of a 6 man team

The Grizzlies will play their home game against the Grants Pass
Cavemen under the lights at Walter Phillips field tonight. The Cave
men have a strong team and expect to give our boys quite a battle.
They have a good line and a fair backfield that promises plenty of
speed and deception.

GRIZZLIES VICTORIOUS
OVER DUNSMUIR
Ashland' Grizzlies defeated
Dunamuir 47-0, Oct. 1. The game
. from start to finish was all in
Ashland's favor; Dunsmuir never
threatened to score.
Riggs made the first touchdown
in the opening minutes of the first
quarter by goin through center
for 50 yards. Garrett converted
the extra point. To bring the tally
to 20-0, Rigs scored on two long
runs. A pass in the clear from'
Garrett to Kerr chalked up Ash
land's fourth touchdown.
In the third period Dunsmuir
was forced to kick. When Ashland
tok possession, a long pass from
Riggs to Roberson over the goal
line netted another touchdown.
Waybrant caught a pas for the
extra point.
