IS MY FACE RED?
a
1888-CHRISTMAS-19 32
I guess you've heard the story
that
Your parents often tell
About THEIR Christmas dinners
and
That good old Cedar smell.
And say about those sleigh
rides
Through the frosty air.
Wreathes, and cones, and can
dles, and
Mistletoe everywhere.
And at night when after
they'd
Gone off to bed
Then Mom and Dad would trim
the
Tree in tinsel and In red.
Then Molly helped Mom make
the candy
And ate so much that she got
sick.
Or when Willy wanted white
meat
Hut didn't get his pick.
There were apples, nuts, and
popcorn.
And those great big cajidy
canes
And Mom made a Christmas
pudding
And took the greatest rains.
To sec tho tree all lighted and
no
Presents take ablaze
And Mom and Dad and (irand
pa says,
"Those were the good old
days."
I s'pose those days were kept
best of all
To Mother and to Dad
But after all I'll bet this Christmas
Will make them just as glad.

THE HISTORY CLASSES
have created a new Idea for
arousing more Interest in cur
rent events. It la like this
they have secured a map which
is in the library. When someone
makes a report on a current
event, the topic is cut out and
put on the board next to the
map. From this account a string
is fastened to the place where
the happening occurred. This
has not only proved educational
to the students but also has
stimulated interest In reading
current events.
The senior sits ajid dreams all
day
Of what next year he'll do;
Hut " he doesn't wake up soon.
He'll sit there next year, too.
