(By David Johnson)
Ashland started basketball
season by meeting and defeating
the Weed Lumberjacks with the
close score of IS to 11. The
game played in Weed, January
8, was rough and full of pre
couference mistakes.
Our next game was played
with Yreka, January 9. Ashland
sent the Yreka aggregation home
with a defeat of 27 to 15. The
game made the Lithians look
rather good. It was fast and tol
erably free of roughness.

can do is lean forward and tm'
