Home Ec. Girls Give I
Party for Miss Smith
Miss Smith was pleasantly sur
prised Wednesday evening. May
8. when the girls of the Home
Economics club honored her with
a surprise party at the. home
of Jean Cadzow on Sherman
street. .
A delicious supper was served,
alter which the evening was
spent in music, games and con
versation. A thirty-minute two
pt Hod was given Miss Smith
on the subject of eggs, at which
she made a grade of forty,
nine.
A lovely box of handkerchiefs
was awarded her for her good
grade and In appreciation for
all that she had done for Home
Economics during the year
leader of the club.
Letters for debate, shorthand,
baseball, basket). all, and G. A.
A. were given out by Mr. For-
ythe. Several girls are now
members of the Lettermen club.
The election returns were an
nounced by an old woman in
green petticoats whom a few
recognized as Gus Moore. Judg-
ng from the applause the. stu
dents were well satisfied with
the lucky candidates.
The Senior Hick Day of the
Class of '29 is now history.

affairs. The Girls' League pro
mises to be even more lively
next year since the girls have
realized what kind of work it is.

Coach Bliss Is now back
school, much to the delight of
the students. He has been
the hospital recovering from an
operation for appendicitis, bu
aside from being a little leaner,
a little whiter, and a little more
wobbly, is the same old coach
as before. He is back to help
revive some- unfortunate students
who are woriying about their
exams.
The coach has worked hard
this year and deserves much
rredit. He will be bark next
year and has good prospects for
a winning team.

she had done as play coach.

high school orchestia. under the
direction of Ward V. Croft.
