EUGENE
The home to University of Oregon, Eugene
is known for its large lesbian population.
Liberal in nature, Eugene is so laid back it
has to be gay-friendly. But the city lacks the
infrastructure that Portland enjoys; it doesn't
have a gay bar or restaurant. The city has
100 parks and 2,600 acres of open-space,
arts, culture and lots of academics though.
Check out John Henry's and the Curthbert
Amphitheater for queer live acts. The city
celebrates Pride in Alton Baker Park in mid-
