Out, Not Over
With Portland Pride 2011 in the books,
a look back, and ahead
Well that was a time, now wasn’t it?
Not so fast. Pride isn’t over—as we’ve all been reminded, from coast to coast and
across Oregon. While Portland Pride proper may be done for another year, the season of
statewide celebrations is just getting started, from Vancouver’s annual Saturday in the
Park event to Mid-Columbia Pride and, back in town, the booming Portland Latino
Gay Pride scene (our coverage begins on p. 18).
We’re on it, of course, and will continue to be so throughout the summer, along with
ongoing recaps of the folks who made Portland’s 2011 festivities special, folks like the
newly revved-up Dykes on Bikes. And don’t forget the photos, lots and lots of photos.
Be sure to visit blogout.justout.com for daily celebrations of Pride—and yes, more
photos still.
There’s much more to come.
