Lucy is my friend Erin’s Yorkshire Terri
er. This picture was taken at the MS Walk in
downtown Portland in 2009. It was a cold
and windy spring morning when the walk
started, so Lucy was all bundled up in Erin’s
jacket through most o f the walk. I thought
she was really cute peering out o f the jack
et. Lucy is now 6 years old.

This photo was taken at Cape Lookout
State Park last fall, one of the more beautiful
places on the Oregon coast.That particular day
there had been heavy fog along the coast and
the sun was just beginning to burn through by
late morning, when I took this photo. Since
the coast is forever changing, even hour by
hour, it provides continual inspiration.
