My image “Drummer Boy” is in many ways similar to others I have
wise, I have always made portraits of people from behind. The tension
taken over the years. Since college I have had a fascination with por
created by what is not seen hopefully compels the viewer to look
traits with a difference. I love to make profile portraits of people be
deeper into the image. If someone comes up at Pride and asks to take
cause there is never any shyness about looking at the camera. Like
your picture from behind, just say “sure.” It will probably be me.

New York is a photographer’s dream.
There are so many great lines, textures and
colors and they are all packed so closely
together. Grand Central Terminal itself
could occupy you for hours. What captured
my interest for this shot was the beautiful
sculpture of Minerva, Hercules and M er
cury on the intricate facade of the building
juxtaposed with the sharp lines and Art
Deco style of the Chrysler Building. This
photo was taken from 42nd Street, one of
my favorite streets in the city. It will take
you from the United Nations past Grand
Central Terminal, Bryant Park, Times
Square and deposit you on the I ludson.
