Luther King Jr. Blvd.), where LGBT-posi-
tive community organizations will offer in
formation and resources, and deejays and
live performers will entertain. The ride
leaves at 1 p.m. for a brief neighborhood
jaunt before returning to SMYRC for a bar

• On Thursday, June 16, the Pride edition of
Curiously Strong Comedy presents Texas
native Vickie Shaw, a veteran of Comedy
Central (Premium Blend), LOGO ( Wisecrack
and her own special, “You Can Take the
Girl Outta Texas...”), the WE network ( The
Secret Lives of Women: Late-in-Life Lesbi
ans), and one of the most buzzed-about
stand-ups, yes, out there. Hosted by Port
land’s own Belinda Carroll, the bill also
features up-and-coming funny ladies Jackie
Monahan and Gloria Bigelow.
