Evillé toured the West Coast after the
release of Edge and is planning on a similar
trek upon the new album’s debut. W ith in
fluences such as Tori Amos and Lords of
Acid in tow, Evillé’s largely instrumental
pieces are heavy on the industrial side of
electrónica, exposing anti-jam sentiments
you’re unlikely to hear during a typical Sat
urday night club-hop.
“I don’t like just heavy, repetitive beats. I
get bored with that,” Evillé says. “I like very
sexual undertones in music, I’m really
drawn to that. I’m not terribly thrilled with
the new Lady Gaga.”
In anticipation of the new album, Evillé
plans on releasing what he calls a “nasty”
single, “Club Killer,” to tide over eager fans.
In the meantime, his kaleidoscope of cre
ative interests are sure to keep him busy.
“You can call it being an artist, but I call
it being yourself and being really expres
sive, letting everything that’s within you
show,” Evillé says. “I think if more people
did that, the world would be a lot more
interesting place.”

enough as a gastro neurologist at the Van
couver Clinic. Stober’s efforts have proven
less immediate.
“I’ve been trying different entrepreneur
ial ventures,” Stober says. “I put together a
package to buy my former employer here
in Vancouver—that fell through. I worked
for a voiceover IP startup company that
fell apart.”
For the past two years, Stober’s been
trying to create his own business—a web
service called My Home Details, conceived
to help people who are building or remod
eling their homes to organize their design
and decorative ideas. The website is under
Stober’s larger company, nLiven Media.
Currently, the business is in the design
stages, and Stober hopes to have some
thing more tangible to give programmers
by the end of summer.
In the meantime, and arguably more
importantly, Stober has not so quietly
helped steer three major LGBTQ_equality
laws into passage in the last legislative ses
sion through his work as vice chair on the
board of Equal Rights Washington. Sto
ber’s residency outside of Puget Sound—
where a majority of progressive advocacy
groups base their operations—has made
his contributions to ERW, and to Clark
County, invaluable.
“My involvement in ERW has led to me
becoming much more involved in LGBT
community here in Clark County,” explains
Stober, who’s also a member of the plan
ning committee to build a queer youth
center in Vancouver. “By living in Clark
County, part of that is saying, ‘I want to
make an impact in building this commu
nity and improving this community.’
There’s a lot of opportunity with that, as
we struggle to create our own identity that
can stand within the Portland metro area.
T hat’s the passion here."
