Another Year Older, Another Year Fiercer

Has it really been three years since Pants Off
Productions dropped the I lomo’s Got Talent
Dance-Off Competition in Portland?
What began as an experimental foray into
the reality-television-show-as-local-competi-
tion blueprint at the old Egyptian Room,
Homo’s Got Talent has spawned a renewed
focus for EGBTQ_choreographers and fabu
lous footloose fanatics in town.
For the third annual event, celebrity judges
include Mr. Charming, Sossity Chiricuzio
and Sea Man, with MC Max Voltage and
special performances by SWAGGER and
^Fannie Fuller and her burlesque students.

O ff Competition; Fri ., May 6, 8 p.m.; Fez Ba/l-

With the Hawthorne Theatre having risen
as a stand-up venue over the last few
years, the first anniversary of Hi
larious at the Hawthorne is no
surprise. But the hilarity of the
lineup assembled for the
show—Gabe Dinger, Aaron
Hays, Belinda Carroll and
more—is bound to raise both
an eyebrow and the octave of
your chuckles. Bri Pruett hosts; au
dience laughs.

past talent as well as a few new
additions, Saturn rings in the
new year with comedian

A super secret performer is also
rumored to be lurking. Intrigued?

ries is ab-fab uniform theme party Sister
Mona’s Big Gay Army 5.
The shindig—a benefit for Portland's Sis
ters of Perpetual Indulgence—features a “uni
form” dress code, with prizes awarded for Best
Military, Civil Service and Sports Uniform.
