night for those on the trans spectrum. Each
evening will have a theme, ranging from
spirituality and health to legal and medical
resources. The program was inspired by the
success its organizers, Amari Fauni and Chloe
Flora, experienced staging “Communi-T:
Portland’s Trans Resource Fair” last year.
“'The majority of programming around the
transgender community focuses on support
and discussion groups, and while those are
needed they aren’t encompassing,” Flora said
when asked about Trans Life’s mission.
“Many individuals are not looking specifi
cally for support so much as a safe community
space. And those individuals who need sup
port often need it more than just once or

Choices Program
Cascade AIDS Project announced on
Monday, February 14 that its Working
Choices Program has been relaunched. The
relaunch was made possible by funding pro
vided through the City of Portland and the
Housing Opportunities for People with
AIDS via Housing and Urban Development
(HUD).
The Working Choices Program offers as
sistance to anyone living with HIV who is
unemployed and includes support for job
searches, interviewing, benefits counseling,
assessing job readiness and more. In addition,
the program includes a weekly Job Club that
provides opportunities for peer networking
and sharing job leads as well as tips for effec
tive job searches. Job Club meetings will he
