origin, marital status or national origin age or disability. To accomplish this purpose, the LegislaM
Assembly intends by this chapter to provide: A program of public education calculated to eliminab
attitudes upon which practices of discrimination because of race, religion, sex, sexual orientatW
national origin, marital status or national origin, age or disability are based. An adequate remed^M^
persons aggrieved by certain acts of discrimination because of race, religion, sex, sexual orientating
national origin, marital status or national origin or disability or unreasonable acts of discriminatioi
in employment based upon age. An adequate administrative machinery for the orderly resolution o
complaints of discrimination through a procedure involving investigation, conference, conciliation
and persuasion, to encourage the use in good faith of machinery by all parties to a complaint of dia
crimination and to discourage unilateral action that makes moot the outcome of final administrativl
or judicial determination on the merits of complaint. It is declared to be the public policy of Ore£aJ
that practices of discrimination against any of its inhabitants because of race, religion, se^. -«^B
