ticketing and online donation
capability via the organizations’
Web sites.
Also available are box
office ticketing services and
full training and support. Fees
will be waived for grant recip
ients, including setup and
per-ticket fees. Recipients
are given a custom-designed
ticket sales Web site to match
the look of the Ticket Turtle
site.
“We hope that nonprofit
GLBT organizations will take
full advantage of the grants,”
says Jennifer Gaddy, vice pres
ident of sales for Ticket Turtle.
“The grant is designed specifi
cally for nonprofits who would
not normally have access to a
ticket sales system such as ours
for their annual fund-raiser.”
Ticket Turtle has helped
the Red Dress Party boost its
level of online donations.
“Ticket Turtle is proud to
support the queer communi
ty,” said president Ness Black
bird. “Every business that
comes out in favor of queer
equality is another nail in the
coffin of discrimination. We
believe that we are part of
a general cultural shift which
will eventually lead to full
equality under the law,
including the right to marry.”
Ticket Turtle will accept
approximately one applica
tion a month through 2008.
To apply, e-mail glbtcharita
