Readers rant and rave in retrospect

record 50,000 people passed through the gates of
Portland’s Pride festival June 16 and 17, and the
Dyke March, with the addition of a Trans March,
doubled in attendance.
From our observations at the Just Out booth,
revelers were impressed with the music lineup featuring head
liners God-dess and She from New York and local favorite Storm
Large & the Balls. The main stage and coffeehouse lounge shows
were packed with crowds, leaving standing room only.
Many enjoyed the family- and pet-friendly atmosphere, while
others glimpsed at the hotties on display at the Under U 4 Men
Fashion Show featuring the Ginch Gonch Boys.
Some were annoyed when they were growled at by stressed-
out dogs and disappointed when they felt a beat with no dance
floor to shake it.
We asked Just Out readers about their Pride experiences, and
