Roundtable Plans Ahead
The Sexual Minorities Roundtable, a group of
community members who meet with representa­
tives from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s office
and the Portland Police Bureau to discuss issues
between the queer community and law enforce­
ment, met Jan. 9 to discuss its 2007 calendar.
Roundtable meetings have been held at the
Portland Police Bureau Justice Center since its
inception in 1994. The Dec. 12 meeting—which
was open to the public, as always—was held as an
evening open house at Central Library. According
to various members, the event allowed people who
might eschew visits to the bureau a chance to par­
ticipate at a more neutral setting. The move was
