Portlanders celebrate Pride 2006

s summer drones on and Pride is behind us, we look back on our Pride festivities and gaiety.
About 40,000 people reportedly attended Pride, up from last year’s 30,000 revelers. This year's
grandstand entertainment and local food vendors were more diverse. The parade was long and
beefy. (This does not only refer to the presence of Tag Adams.) We cruised the Willamette, met
Jerri Blank and greeted each other at Q Center during a week of Pride celebrations. We partied
in our undies for Our House of Portland on Stark Street all weekend long. Essentially, we came, we cele­
brated, we got our Pride on. The rest will be told in your smiling faces.... ©
