larity in the past few years. BMI is
defined as weight in kilograms
divided by the square of height in meters. Like
many people involved in health and wellness,

I’ve repeatedly seen people, without ques­
tioning rhe common sense of one-size-fits-all,
attempt to fit themselves into the BMI box with
disastrous results. We all have individual body
types and genetic destinies. My training experi­
ence has taught me that people of all sizes, no
matter where they may fall on the BMI scale,
feel that they have weight to lose.
