P ride of the R ose S cholarships
A vailable N ow
The Pride of the Rose Scholarship, adminis­
tered through Equity Foundation and led by
Frank Schreckenberger, Allison Grey, Scoty
Devore Fox and Lotta Marie Liquor, is having a
successful 26th year. Scholarship applications
are being accepted until July 31.
On May 22 the second Touch of Class din­
ner, auction and show raised more than $9,000.
There were $2,000 in door proceeds, $6,000 in
auction proceeds and $1,000 in tips and dona­
tions. Scholarships will be announced during
the annual Turnabout fund-raiser Sept. 11 at
Darcelle XV.
The Pride of the Rose Scholarship provides
educational assistance to the sexual minorities
community and children of queer folks pursuing
schixiling beyond the secondary level. This
includes community colleges, universities, trade
schixds and master’s and d<x:torate programs.

The Elder Resource Alliance will-host a
Games Day at Portland Impact Multicultural
Center. There will he food, games, queer history
trivia, bingo and surprises. Sexual minority
elders, families, friends and allies are wanted and
warmly welcomed!
This event takes place from 2 to 5 p.m.
