Studios’ new leather film, Bootstrap, and the
blond is Portlander Bryan Morgan.
Growing up in Montana, Morgan (he goes
by just his last name) first knew he liked boys
when he was 7. “Dad’s Playboys didn’t do any
thing to me like they did to the neighbor kids,
and the neighbor kids did more to me than
Dad’s Playboys," he jokes.
His earliest sexual experiences were in
junior high, and although he dated girls (“I’ve
definitely put in my time”), he did it with ulte
rior motives (“Every one [of them] I dated
because her brother was really hot”).
In high school, he also discovered that he
got turned on by his own exhibitionism.
“Showing off was something I just did,” he says,
“probably to provoke someone I thought was
hot to show off as well.”
In 1997, after ending a relationship in
Longview, Wash., Morgan landed in Portland,
where his exhibitionism propelled him forward.
He had nude photographs taken with an eye
toward pom and then filmed a jack-off video.
But the experience was underwhelming.
“When I saw it,” he says, “I completely froze
up and didn’t want to do anything like that

About a dozen crew members watched,
including a “lube boy” who replenished the
condoms and lubes after every pullout (“1 asked
him, ‘Dude, how’d you get this job?’ ”), as Mor
gan, dressed in a harness and leather cuffs, lay
on the leather Lazy Susan in a back room of
San Francisco’s Power Exchange sex club.
“They told me I was going to bottom for
more than one partner,” he says. “But when
[well-hung pom actor Brad Patton] entered the
rixim, I kxiked up and about died. I went: ‘Oh
my God. I’ve seen that before. And, oh Lord,
it’s big.’ ”
For the next five hours, including an hour
standing around naked and shivering while
waiting for power to be restored (“I was like,
‘OK, you’re definitely not getting a rise out of
me now’ ”), Morgan was impaled by “some of
the bigger endowed men in pom." He says:
“I just grinned and beared it...I don’t even
remember [it ending]. When 1 got done, I was
so exhausted I passed out on the couch.”
But fame comes with a price for the hand
some 33-year-old, who appears in Bootstrap
under the pseudonym Troy Moore. “The hard
est thing about all of it,” he says wistfully, “is
that 1 lost some friends after I did it.... [They]
didn’t want to be associated with someone who
would do pom. They’ll watch it; in fact, they’ll
be the first to buy it or rent it, but they don’t
want to be associated."
Morgan continues: “It’s just a fantasy 1
wanted to fulfill, and I’d do it again. 1 met
some amazing people along the way, and it’s a
