On Our First Camping Trip
This tin roof-—rusted, might I add—is more than meets
the eye. Is this photo a social critique about poverty in rural
country? Is it an existentialist deconstruction of isolation and
disconnectedness from humankind? Or is it the siamminest
undiscovered love shack where so many farm babies were
conceived and debauched? The photo makes me feel both
unnerved and comforted, and for that, 1 thank Mr. Schultz.
