About the Sculptor
Russel Peltzer created his first piece of sculptor
at the age of seven. The same year he fell in love
with the creative process and the beauty of the
human form.
While in Mexico in 1982 he had the great fortune
to meet and befriend the internationally famous
Mexican sculptor Gabriel Ponzanelli. Russel
would live in Gabriel’s studio and for months on
end watching the famous master at work. For
more than twenty years he learned from Gabriel
Ponzanelli until one day the master told Russel
that he would not teach him any longer because
he had too much talent of his own and that now
the clay would teach him.
