It takes a lot o f creativity to feel that you
are productive and have some meaning out­
side of being so self-focused. In our culture,
success means having a good paying job, but
long-term HIV people are faced with having
to redefine what success means. Success for
me today means having healthy relation­
ships and being able to contribute to a better
world. A t no other time do I feel surrounded
by such loving support as I do when I’m
around others who are facing the challenges
o f HIV. S o that’s what A ID S has taught me:
