students. I am committed to education and safe
ty for every Oregon student, and groups like
GSA help make that possible.
Again 1 express my support for the students at
The Dalles High Sch(x>i, their faculty mentors
and the thousands of students across Oregon who
deserve to find a safe place in their hallways and
classrooms. They are part of what makes Oregon
a great state in which to live, work and learn.

I. I done anything differently at your atten
dance of The Full Monty from what you did
[“Eww, Gay Men Kissing!” Sept. 19]. Besides,

he Sept. 19 article “A Peace of the World”
misquoted Geoff Wren when describing for
eign exchange student Alex “out with his friends
beating up gays in a small town in Norway.” It
should have said only that he knew other high
schtxil friends who had done this, thus illustrating
that Alex was aware of violence against gays in
his own axintry. Just Out regrets the error.
