A judge Feb. 7 ordered the arrest of Oregon Citizens Alliance
chairman Lon Mahon and his wife, Bonnie. The couple, who have
spent more than a decade trying To legislate their morality on the
sexual minorities community, were about to find themselves behind bars.
The Mabons were no-shows at a hearing in which they were to face
contempt charges for their failure to appear in court Nov. 26 and
Dec. 12, 2001. Attorney Brent Foster called Multnomah County Cir-

physical injuries and psychological trauma,
Stauffer received $10,000 in 2000 but has yet to collect the bal-
ance. When fees and interest are added, the Mabons now owe her in
