VIRACEPT is indicated in com bination with other
antiretroviral agents for the treatm ent of HIV
infection. The most com m on side effect of
VIRACEPT is diarrhea, which can usually be
controlled with over-the-counter treatm ents.
Som e prescription and non-prescription drugs
and supplem ents should not be taken with
VIRACEPT so talk to your doctor first. For
some people, protease inhibitors have been
associated with the onset or w orsening
of diabetes mellitus and hyperglycemia,
changes in body fat, and increased
bleeding in hemophiliacs. HIV drugs do
not cure HIV infection or prevent you
from spreading the virus.
