Community Churches Northwest Dis­
trict Conference. The event will be
held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 7 at First

The annual conference draws dele­
gates from eight Western states. The
Northwest District Human Rights Award
will be presented during the service.
The event will feature comments
from Portland activists Jaime Balboa,
Basic Rights Oregon executive direc-
tor, and Ann Shepherd. The Rev.
