Elaine’s Peacock in the Park get together in
Washington Park this summer was that kind of
affair. This was my first visit to the fourth
annual la-la, and believe me, it was one hell of
a day.
This year’s performance, stretched out over
three hours under perfect blue skies and puffy
clouds, again helped raise funds for scholar
ships in the name of Elaine’s mother, who died
enuring a court function.
In-all, it was a fitting tribute and proof to me
that the community can come together in an
informal atmosphere and family-like setting
with good feelings all around.
