My friend, Cheryl McBride, was married to a man who battered her and her child. Even eleven years after divorce, this man was still attempting to control her life and her son’s. On January 29, 1987, Cheryl was arrested in connection with the shooting death o f her ex- husband. She has been charged with murder, and she has been in custody since January 29th. Her trial is currently scheduled for October. If you have wanted to help battered women, if you have wanted to affirm a wom an's right to live without fear, now is your chance to help. It is estimated that S7.(XX) is needed just for the expenses in this case. C hecks can be made out to Cheryl McBride Defense Fund, c/o Deni Starr. Client Trust Ac count. Suite 521.408 S.W. Second.
