The Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches sponsors the AIDS Vigil. This year the theme in Portland is “ A Time To Heal.” It reflects a commitment to a unity of focus as we confront AIDS. It also reflects a commitment to living beyond the fear, mistrust, isolation, and sense of helplessness AIDS can instill. The educational, participation, music and spiritual activities of the Vigil offer each of us an opportunity to learn, grow, and reflect with this focus. The 1987 AIDS Vigil includes heavy emphasis on educating about AIDS. The site is wheel chair accessible. There will be signing of major events and will generally be available all hours.
