The Lesbian Forum is a women-only
m onthly gathering of lesbians and gay
p ositive women, established in May, 1981
as a supportive place to d iscuss topics of
interest. Services provided include free,
sup ervised child care, w heelchair access
at the 16th Street entrance (door is
attended from 7 :00 to 7 :25) and inform a
tion ta b le s for organizations. A $2 dona
tion is suggested to help defray costs

w as worth the wart. Elena, set in the hey
d a y of August Renoir, centers on a Polish
p rin c e ss' search for love, a woman who
thinks she can inspire men to fame and
forune. The descent of this Venus among
m en, shot in exquisite color by Claude
Renoir, follow s Bergman a s she must de
c id e am ong a wealthy boot magnate, a
general (Jean M arais) and a flam boyant
Henri de Chevincourt (Mel Ferrer). The re
su lt is a film about the pow er of love, the •
pow er o f women, the folly of progress and
