1973 she formed an a capella singing group.
She also performed and recorded regularly
as a back-up vocalist with artists such as Boz
Skaggs and Santana.
Tillery has composed, arranged, and pro
duced for Olivia Records, a recording com
pany owned and operated by women. In
1979 she won the Bay Area Music Award for
“ Best Independently-Produced Record" for
an album simply entitled Linda Tillery.
Tillery is accompanied by pianist Adrienne
Torf, a classically trained musician known for
her accompaniment of artists such as Meg
Christian. Cris Williamson, and Holly Near, as
well as for her solo tours.
Tickets are $6.00 in advance from Arti
choke Music, A Women’s Place Bookstore,
all B.A.S.S. outlets. Everybody's Records, and
Music Millenium, or $7.00 at the door of The
Old Church (S.W. 11th and Clay). Child care
will be provided.

PWTC presents quality cultural theatre in
non-traditional settings as the search con
tinues for a permanent home.
Opening November 17 at the Pine St.
Theatre at 8 p.m. PWTC will present Jane
Chambers’ My Blue Heaven, directed by
Hester Schell, well known to Portland audi
ences; this marks Ms. Schell’s debut of a full
length production. “My Blue Heaven',' she
says, “ is about all relationships, and the com
mitments that we all have to make in our
personal lives, and what we give of ourselves
to make them work.”
My Blue Heaven, staged in the parallel,
features Faith McDevitt as the Emcee, Judy
Clover as Josie, E. Ann Hinds as Molly, Kelley
Edwards as Baby the goat, Debby Lindlund
as Ralph, and Sara Nichols as Dr. John.
Tickets are available at the door only. No
reservations. The Dyketones will play a
benefit after the show on Sat, November 19,
at 10:30 p.m. And performances on Nov. 18
and Dec. 3rd will be interpreted for the Hear
