Dear lovo : I'm Bitting Tory liumMo in my placo,

Lo low's con U'tit men t lie ujwii my face,
And folds about my hoart its aummor glow.
t cravfl tio higher meed of fnmo than tliii:
" Slis lioldi his heart with modest, wifely graco,
Her sountre falls u softly at a kiss ;
Htm initkoi hot burnt hor husband's resting
place." Tii sweeter tbnn raon'i praise, this wifely crown,
Thus plncod on my young bond by such u thou;
Upon whoso soul (Jod'a truth ia folded down,
Like fruitugo on an Autumn-laden bough.

Will stand up high ahoyo tho social wrongs,
That warp the truth anil mar lovn's euchuriit ;
Thu world is sad that should lw full of songs.
AVo will not wandor in its dusty lanes,
lint walk where souls grow purer day by day,
Outside tho giitua of worldly lusts und gains,
Along a bettor and won sacred way.

Hut take the Horrf and do tho best wo know ;
As there's one Ood, so there la one truo way ; '
We'll seek fur that, and let tho others go.
And so, dear heart, cur loro will erer grow,
Till may morn shall wax to oloudleaa noon,
And noon shall wane to enning'a hallowed

Your question discloses what may be called
something of a defect in our mini system. The

THE CULTURE OF FLOWERS.
Summer will soon be numbered with the past,
and very little remains to bfl done in the flower
garden. All p'nti nottaken up yet and imbedded

their winter qnartera, so aa to get them ued to in

plant, after living out doors all aumraer, will
rarely ever do well in winter uuleu it ia gradually
acclimatized to indoor life.
In onr next number we shall have something to
say about tho general treatment of plauta in win

Wo shall now close our article for tho month with
a few words on the

this beautiful plant grows and bloomi under tho
most unfavorable circumstances, it will, with a

of water daily, and removo plant to the house.

get near a Calla.
