Portland. Jan. 20.—E. C. Genereaux
who represents the French Government
in the supervision of vessels being built
here for that republic, was fined S250
by Federal Judge Wolverton this morn-
ng for bringing from San Francisco to
Portland fo- his own use two quarts of
wine, 7,q quarts of whiskey and one
quart of apricot brandy.
